Meet Dr. Michael Hanemann
Dr. Michael Hanemann is a plastic surgeon, who practices in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A native New Orleanian, Dr. Hanemann is proud to return to his home state of Louisiana, where he is able to provide his patients with the latest advancements in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.
Dr. Hanemann graduated Summa Cum Laude from Jesuit High School in New Orleans. He studied at the University of Texas at Austin, where he received a bachelor’s degree with highest honors. He then obtained his medical doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the nation’s only medical honor society. Dr. Hanemann remained at LSU to complete a residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, in which he is board certified.
Dr. Hanemann went on to complete a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following his plastic surgery training, Dr. Hanemann completed a comprehensive fellowship in aesthetic surgery and breast reconstruction with Dr. James Grotting, Clincal Professor at the University of Alabama – Birmingham, world expert in cosmetic surgery, and pioneer in microsurgical breast reconstruction.
Dr. Hanemann has returned to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to join Plastic Surgery Consultants. His partners include Dr. Joel Nasca, Dr. J. Anthony Stephens, and Dr. James Wade.
